Affiliate disclosure
How we make money, and why it doesn't change our ratings.

Reader-supported
eBikeGenius is reader-supported. Some links on our site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy, we may earn a commission from the retailer or brand, at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the research, testing data, and normalization work behind our reviews.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. eBikeGenius is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Other programs
We also participate in affiliate programs run directly by e-bike brands and by affiliate networks (such as AvantLink, Impact, ShareASale, Awin, and others). When we link to a product, that link may be an affiliate link.
Our independence
Our commissions do not influence our ratings. The Genius Score is computed from normalized specs and peer-relative value — a brand cannot pay for a higher score, and we recommend against bikes that are poor value even when we could earn a commission on them. If our editorial judgment ever conflicts with a commission, editorial judgment wins. See how we score for the full methodology.
